The local area offers unlimited ideas for group outings and unique experiences nearby. We can help arrange private tours to explore downtown Merida, climb ancient ruins, or take a refreshing dip in an other-worldly cenote.
"It can be nerve-racking to send a large sum of money across the world! Will the actual location match how good the photos look? Could it really be as beautiful as they make it seem? Will it feel as authentic as we imagine or will we feel like a bunch of tourists? Well, Hacienda Sac Chich quelled any fears we might have had as soon as we came in through the beautiful gates. The Casa de Maquinas (the old hacienda) is a trip back in time with all the modern amenities you could hope for. The building itself holds the patina of bygone eras while the interiors are decorated with a keen design eye that brings a state of calm. The linens are luxurious. The beds feel incredible. The pool is well maintained and perfectly refreshing. The kitchen had more than enough tools for us to have a professional chef cook multi-course meals for 14 for the week. The old house is stunning and the modern Casa Sisal is a total marvel. Perfectly laid out, it seamlessly works with the Yucatecan landscape. It's the perfect mix of modern, luxurious, rustic, and minimalist. It's just so soothing. The great lawn between the two is the perfect spot to have kiddos run around or to get some exercise in or just feel a sense of vastness in the middle of a dense jungle. The entire property lights up with fireflies at dusk and feels like a fairytale. Finally, the staff... They are warm and inviting while still being hands-off enough to make you feel like the place is your own. The owners are genuinely kind and passionate people who have poured their souls into the place and are happy to make whatever dreams you might have for the hacienda come true. They're incredibly responsive and will do everything they can to make your stay a lifelong memory, as ours was!"
